Overview

Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is a small, easy-to-navigate airport located about 10 miles southeast of downtown Colorado Springs and approximately 80 miles south of Downtown Denver, Colorado. With just one terminal and short security lines, the Colorado Springs Airport offers a smooth airport experience. COS serves as a convenient alternative to Denver International Airport (DEN) for travelers visiting Southern Colorado, the U.S. Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, or nearby mountain destinations.

While the airport has limited nonstop destinations, it connects efficiently through major hubs like Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Chicago-O’Hare, Houston, and Atlanta. Passengers appreciate the quick curb-to-gate access, free Wi-Fi, and scenic views of the Front Range. If you’re looking to avoid long walks, crowded terminals, and hectic boarding zones, COS is a great choice for a relaxed and efficient trip.

Airlines

As a smaller airport, the number of airlines serving Colorado Springs Airport is limited. However, the nation’s four largest carriers, American, Delta, United, and Southwest all serve COS. The airport is also served by ultra-low cost carrier, Allegiant Air.

These airlines connect Colorado Springs to many of their major hubs, helping provide one-stop connectivity between Colorado Springs and your origin or destination.

As of 2025, the Colorado Springs Airport is connected to nearly a dozen metropolitan destinations with nonstop flights.  These include, but are not limited to:

San Diego, Phoenix, Los Angeles Metro Area, Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and the Baltimore/Washington DC area.

Colorado Springs Airport provides a very efficient and compact two-story landside terminal with ticket counters, baggage claim, TSA checkpoint, and rental car counters.

With just 12 gates, organized onto a single concourse, navigating the Colorado Springs Airport is simple for travelers who have difficulty finding their way around airports or walking long distances. Once through the TSA checkpoint, the walk to the furthest gate is only about 700 feet.

Two sets of restrooms are provide about one-third and two-thirds of the way down the concourse.
