SoFi Stadium, the iconic 70,240 seat stadium in the Los Angeles, California metro area, hosts a variety of events, most notably professional and college football.
The enormous complex truly is an engineering marvel. The stands, field, and concourses are covered by a free-spanning translucent roof, and the stadium bowl is large enough to temporarily seat over 100,000 fans for special events. Also attached to the stadium, under the same roof, is the 6,000-seat YouTube Theater, used for performing arts, concerts, and conference events.
The stadium is located in Inglewood, California, very close to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and is the official home of two National Football League (NFL) teams, the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. SoFi Stadium is also the host venue for the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl, which features a matchup between college football teams from the Pac-12 Conference and Mountain West Conference, and will also host world events such as the 2026 FIFA World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics opening and closing ceremony.
Coming in January 2023, SoFi Stadium will also be home to the College Football Playoff National Championship game.

What hotels are nearby SoFi Stadium?
Since SoFi Stadium is located so close to LAX Airport, there are a number of hotel options that conveniently serve both the airport and the stadium.
If you’re in town for a quick weekend event at SoFi Stadium, and want to forgo renting a car by just relying on hotel shuttles, Ubers, transit, and even walking, it is entirely possible to do so!

SoFi Stadium Hotel Cluster 1: Century Blvd
Century Blvd is the main arterial that runs between LAX Airport and SoFi Stadium. A handful of large hotels, from major chains, and at different price-points, call the palm tree-lined boulevard home.

This cluster of hotels is located within walking distance of LAX, which may be nice if you’ve had a long flight. Dotted along Century Boulevard, the main thoroughfare to-and-from LAX, these hotels will be located about 2.5 miles from SoFi Stadium.
If you’re interested in walking to SoFi Stadium, just head east along the sidewalks on Century Boulevard until you reach Hollywood Park, the multi-use entertainment complex that SoFi Stadium is situated within. Other options are Uber, Lyft, or a quick ride on Los Angeles Metro Bus route #117, which also runs along Century Boulevard.

If you’re a budget-conscious traveler, the 2nd cluster of hotels will be better suited for you. Located in Hawthorne, California, this cluster of hotels is a little bit farther from LAX, but equally as close to SoFi Stadium as the Century Blvd cluster of hotels.
Rather than being 2 miles west of the stadium, this cluster is about 2 miles south of the stadium. SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park can be accessed by walking north along La Brea Avenue to Century Blvd. Uber, Lyft, and Los Angeles Metro Bus Route #40 are options as well.

Which airport to fly into for SoFi Stadium?
This one is a no-brainer. Due to its proximity and size, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is your best bet for traveling to see an event at SoFi Stadium. The airport’s passenger terminals are located about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from SoFi Stadium, and the five largest airlines in the United States - American, United, Delta, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines all have a major presence at LAX, flying to cities all across North America.
LAX is also the international gateway to the Los Angeles region with direct flights across the world to Asia, Oceana, Europe, South America, and the Middle East.
The presence of a major international airport also lends itself to the presence of many hotel options nearby across many different price points. If you’re looking to explore more of Los Angeles while you’re in the area, a car rental may be in order for you.
