Where is the new Hawaiian Airlines Lounge at Honolulu located?
Hawaiian Airlines’ new lounge in Honolulu will occupy nearly 13,000 square feet in the Mauka Concourse at HNL’s Terminal 1.

In September 2026, Alaska Air Group released new details about its upcoming premium lounge for Hawaiian Airlines at its Honolulu (HNL) hub. The new Hawaiian Lounge will be located within the newer Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1, encompass nearly 13,000 square feet, and provide seating capacity for approximately 200 guests.
Plans for the lounge, along with preliminary renderings, were originally announced in January 2025 with a projected end of 2027 opening.
With the latest update, Alaska Air Group released new renderings with a slightly evolved design concept along with a revised opening date of early 2028.
How to get to the new Hawaiian Lounge in Honolulu?
For passengers flying Hawaiian Airlines, the new Hawaiian Lounge will be located between Gates A12 and A13, at the entrance of the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1.
Those familiar with the concourse may recognize the images below. The lounge’s front door will be located at the bottom of the sloped floor that leads into the main part of the Mauka Concourse (Gates A1 thru A12).
The lounge will occupy much of the vacant floor area along the west side of the concourse’s entry corridor.
As Terminals 1 and 2 at Honolulu are physically connected to one another, the lounge can be reached by all passengers flying into and out of Honolulu, provided they have the proper access privileges for the lounge.

Who can access the new Hawaiian Airlines Lounge at Honolulu?
The new Hawaiian Airlines Lounge will be a premium-access lounge only, unlike the airline’s Premier Club lounge.

Unlike Hawaiian’s Premier Club lounges, which can be accessed by Atmos Rewards Elite Members and passengers traveling in First or Business Class on either Hawaiian or Alaska, access to the new Hawaiian Airlines Lounge will be limited to premium access holders.
As of 2026, access is anticipated to be similar to The Plumeria Lounge, Hawaiian’s current premium lounge at Honolulu. This implies access will be limited to:
Passengers who have booked a suite
Business Class passengers departing Honolulu to an international destination
First Class passengers departing to the US Mainland on flight segments of at least 2,000 miles.
oneworld-eligible passengers (typically those holding a certain status level or higher) traveling to/from an international destination.

Passengers who purchase a day pass
